Importers Dashboard
For importers into India: the DGFT and Customs, duties and ICEGATE, clearances for food, drugs and electronics, trade statistics, sourcing marketplaces, freight and payments.
To import into India you need an Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) from the DGFT, issued online. Check your product’s ITC(HS) import policy first: most goods are free to import, some need a licence, and food, drugs, electronics and plants also need their regulator’s clearance. The Bill of Entry is filed on ICEGATE, usually through a licensed customs broker, and customs duty and IGST are paid there.
